Alton's Dive Center is committed to this and we offer a Whale Shark Conservation Specialty course in conjunction with NAUI World Wide to help educate and promote Whale Shark awareness, conservation as well as show you how you can contribute directly to whale shark research efforts. We also offer A Whale Shark Awareness Distinctive Specialty in conjunction with PADI and Project Aware.

Beyond education and support of research you can refuse to buy products made from shark, avoid restaurants that serve shark. Write to companies that manufacture shark fin soup and express your disapproval. Keep yourself and your family and friends informed.
