In recognition of the huge interest in these beautiful sharks Alton's is developing a specialty training course for learning more about whale sharks, their biology, an overview of whale shark research and how you can contribute to this research when you encounter a whale shark. You will learn how to plan and safely execute a whale shark encounter and record the encounter correctly so that your information can contribute directly into whale shark research projects.
Armed with this knowledge you will get even more out of your whale shark encounter trips and safaris as well as be well equipped to be able to provide on going contribution to whale shark research during these trips.
The whale shark package will deliver all the world class diving you would normally expect from Alton's Dive Center while maximizing your possibility of whale shark encounters both with surface interval excursions and dedicated whale shark safari trips.
