I have had such a cool time. I only came for open water and I was nervous about that, but now I am advanced! Night diving is amazing and the instructors were great and the general atmosphere here is really friendly. Thanks everyone its been the highlight of my trip and if I have aspirations of being a divemaster I'll be back. Lots of love Laura xxx)
Getting here & away
Plane
Honduras has three international airports, Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and Roatan, with regular flight connections to the US. For getting to Utila, visitors find flights connecting through Roatan or San Pedro Sula the most convenient. American Airlines and TACA fly direct to San Pedro Sula from Miami, Continental fly direct from Houston, and Delta fly from their hub in Atlanta. European visitors can also connect through Madrid with Iberia.

Connecting flights on to Utila are available from Atlantic Airlines and Sosa Airlines, with daily flights from San Pedro Sula via La Ceiba.

Continental have also recently started flying directly to Roatan from Houston on Saturdays only. Visitors wishing to travel on to Utila will find that the Sosa Airlines flight from Roatan to Utila is scheduled to connect with this flight arrival.

Should your flight connections require an overnight stay in San Pedro Sula, there are a number of hotel options suting any budget. We can recommend Microtel Inn and Suites (around $80 per night) and Apart Hotel Villa Nuria (504 559-4801), $60 per night for a two bedroom apartment. Both hotels are clean, safe and friendly, and bookings can be made online or by telephone.
