Bill I had a great time diving at Alton\'s which was cool as I was scared and my mummy doesn\'t let me do rad things like that on my own. E. Chino taught me how to do some sick dives off the dock, and Chris (The Big Dipper) helped me home when some nasty people made me drink too much rum one night through a snorkel.

Utila is home to a huge variety of dive sites, which makes the island a great place to take your Advanced Open Water course. From deep dives (to a maximum of 130ft/40m) such as Black Hills or wreck dives where you can explore the famous Haliburton wreck, to drift dives exploring the overhangs of Blackish Point or the caves and caverns of Airport Caves.
Becoming a Rescue Diver is an important and crucial transitional step where you will start looking beyond purely recreational diving. You will expand your diving knowledge and experience, and learn to look beyond yourself to the safety and well being of other divers.
The PADI Master Scuba Diver is a recognition of training and dive experience. Once you have collected 5 specialties, 50 dives and completed your Rescue Diver training you can apply.
Whatever your interest, at Alton’s Dive Center we are able to offer you a specialty course to expand your horizons; from underwater photography to deep diver; from underwater coral reef ecology to wreck penetration, from enriched air (nitrox) diver to peak performance buoyancy diver we have something for you!
