Everything about our stay at Alton\'s was just awesome. My friend and I visited the islands for a week -- Roatan was nice, but we ended up wishing we\'d stayed longer on Utila. The DMs and crowd we stayed with were really cool (Katya, Sarah, Bob, Natasha, Christopher, everyone -- you guys rock) and I\'m thinking seriously about heading back at some point to stay longer/do my DM. (I wasn\'t even thinking about going beyond Rescue before, so that\'s saying something.) Great people, great culture, great diving -- keep it up!)

Time to kick back and spend some down time relaxing on Utila's beaches. Two beaches in East Harbor provide nearby beach time, but if you want to venture further then you can hike to a remote beach which you will have all to yourself. Or get a boat to the cays and spend the day on an island of sand and palm trees...
Utila lies only 18 miles from mainland Honduras, and is easily accessible by air or sea.
Banking can some times be a little tricky on Utila. The best thing is to be prepared! There are only two banks on Utila one accepts only VISA and the other also accepts MasterCard.
Utila is small enough to easily get around on foot - but to get around Utila and really see the island you need some wheels.
Utila is home to a huge variety of dive sites making the island a great place to spend a couple of weeks diving. Here are some of our favorite dive sites, and we think they will also become some of yours!
